The Growth and Social Protection Strategy 2014-2018 indicates that promotion of sustainable growth in the agricultural sector will be achieved through the implementation of the Agricultural Investment Plan to boost crop production in practical and productive ways. Some of the priorities of this Plan are for investments in credit support for crop and livestock production and agro-processing; and technical information support. The objectives of the Banana Accompanying Measures are to reinforce the development of these critical areas as elaborated in the Strategy.
